Edith and her husband Davis A. Williams started the Feed The Needy Children Inc., organization in August 2006, after their
vacation from Ghana, West Africa. After seeing so much suffering of needy children in poverty that children and families lived
with there, during their visit in Northern region, Ghana, they began to wonder how many other children in the globe were
hungry and what they could do about it. Due to that, they felt convicted to help out in a basic but unique way. They asked
their selves what they could do beyond sending their contributions to various charities around the world involved in helping
out the needy children.
Returning to Los Angeles, California, Edith and Davis compared the abundance of food in America, and how blessed America
is, from that idea; it was in this light that “Feed The Needy Children Inc.” was born.
